To cast a chessboard out of epoxy resin , you need a silicone mold or a homemade wooden mold , epoxy resin , color pigments (e.g. black and white) and release agent . First, the mold is prepared and treated with release agent. Then the epoxy resin is carefully mixed and divided into two portions, which are colored with the desired colors. Then the resin is poured alternately in a checkerboard pattern or using a pouring technique with dividers. After curing, the surface is sanded and sealed with a layer of clear resin to achieve a glossy finish.

To cast art figures from epoxy resin using silicone molds , you need a high-quality silicone mold , epoxy resin , color pigments or color inks and possibly glitter or other effects . First, the mold is treated with a release agent to ensure easier demolding. Then the epoxy resin is mixed exactly according to the manufacturer's instructions , colored and slowly poured into the mold to avoid air bubbles . Optionally, you can work with several layers of color or layered effects. After the figure has completely hardened, it is carefully removed from the mold and can then be sanded, polished or sealed with a layer of clear resin.
